What commissions do I have to pay to NeedSteel to request a quote through the platform?
None! Requesting a quote is completely free and will always be.
The product manual does not contain the products I am looking for.
We strive to keep the product manual as updated as possible. If the product you are looking for is not listed, you can create a custom request in the dedicated section.
I placed an order on NeedSteel. When will my goods be delivered?
In your Customer Area section, you will see the estimated delivery date of the goods and to which facility.
I use steel, other ferrous materials, and other metal alloys. Three hours have passed since my quote request, but I haven't received any responses. What should I do?
This may happen because your request is particular, there are few suppliers in your area, or your creditworthiness might not convince the suppliers. You can reload the request automatically by activating a new 3-hour timer, which will make your offer visible again to the various suppliers who handle your specific case.

Through the Supplier Area section, you can fill out the affiliation request on the portal. Only companies duly registered with the Chamber of Commerce with a verified VAT number can become NeedSteel suppliers after a brief verification by our staff to ensure the professionalism of the requesting supplier for the buyers.
Do I have to pay commissions to NeedSteel if I buy or sell on the platform?
No! There are no commissions required either for buying or selling on the platform.
I am a reseller of steel, other ferrous materials, and metal alloys. How much does NeedSteel cost me?
The cost of NeedSteel depends on how many quote requests you want to open. The cost is 3 credits for each quote request opened. Other services within the portal use credits, such as complete creditworthiness reports.
How much does a Credit cost?
The cost of one credit is €1 + VAT each, but you can buy credit packages that offer quantity discounts. Credits can be conveniently purchased through the portal in the dedicated section.

Certainly! All these functionalities are available on the NeedSteel portal.
I am a supplier. Can I contact a customer directly to respond to their quote request and possibly negotiate?
Certainly! Once you have purchased the right to the quote, all contact details of the person requesting the quote will be available.

All responses to quotes must be sent without transport costs. NeedSteel, through its logistics sector, will complete your offer by adding the costs to be borne by the customer.
